Most items ship immediately, provided the item(s) is in stock. If an item(s) is sold out or on backorder, our concierge will contact you with an estimated delivery date. All personalised orders placed for production will take 15-20 working days to receive. If your order is ready before the estimated date, the item will ship as soon as it is complete.

12AM STUDIO accepts product returns or exchanges within 30-days for unworn necklaces, rings and bracelets only.

Earrings are final sale with no exceptions due to strict health requirements.

All sale items, special orders, and personalised styles are strictly non-returnable.

Merchandise showing signs of wear, resizing, or damage in any way will not be accepted and returned to sender.

12AM STUDIO does not refund delivery costs unless 12AM STUDIO is responsible for an item delivered in error.

For all returns, please fill out our “Return me” Card. Please include your Name, Order Number and Reason for Return.

Returned items must be couriered in the original packaging, including any pouches or boxes that the jewellery was shipped in.

12AM STUDIO reserves Its right to immediately waive customer’s refund and return the item to the customer at the customer’s expense, should the customer fail to adhere to the clause above.

Customer’s should allow between 5 and 10 days for returns to be processed and refunded.

Once the return has been approved customers will be notified via email and credited for the item purchased.

Quality and craftsmanship are of our utmost concern, however, jewellery by nature is delicate. For all repair enquiries please fill out our “Repair Me” card. Please include your name, description of the repair required, photo of the damage and proof of purchase.

If we are able to repair your Item, we will issue you an RA number and shipping instructions. If this happens within 3 months of purchase, we are happy to repair any breakage caused by manufacturer defect within 90 days of receipt of purchase at no cost to the customer.

Any repairs needed after 3 months of receipt, or caused by misuse or typical wear and tear, will incur an additional repair charge. Repairs take 2-4 weeks to complete depending on the nature of the repair and all repairs are subject to shipping charges. We will return your repaired item back to you and notify you as soon as it is ready with an email and tracking number as soon as it is shipped.

Except as otherwise set forth herein, the risk of loss for and title to products purchased from 12AM STUDIO passes to the purchaser upon delivery to the carrier.

Limited 90-day Warranty: 12AM STUDIO will repair any breakage caused by manufacturer defect within 90 days of receipt of purchase at no cost. Repairs needed after 90 days of receipt, or caused by misuse or typical wear and tear, will incur an additional repair charge.

How long does shipping take?

We try our best to get everything out as soon as we can, however, as we are a start up, please allow us 3-5 working days to get your order packaged, shipped and delivered. If an item is in stock, it will ship as soon as possible. All personalised/made to order items can take up to 2-4 weeks. We try our best to get everything out as fast as we can.

Can I check the status of my order?

Yes, once you have completed your order, you will be issued a tracking waybill number which can be used to track your order.

All orders require a signature upon delivery. 

We do not ship to PO Boxes.

Which countries do you ship to?

At present, we only ship throughout South Africa. We are however working on international shipments.

Materials: We want to make beautiful jewellery that you can enjoy everyday, pieces that become a part of your life. That’s why we choose to make them with ethically sourced materials and stones of high quality, so that they last a lifetime.

Diamonds: Diamonds are one of the hardest materials in the world formed over billions of years under intense heat and pressure. We source our diamonds responsibly. Our diamonds are full cut, SI/VS in clarity and N/W in color.

Gemstones: Apart from diamonds, we also set our jewellery with precious and semi-precious stones. These gemstones are carefully evaluated for quality before becoming a part of our vibrant fine jewellery pieces.

Gold: In gold, karat is a measure of purity and 24 karat (kt) gold is considered the purest. But pure gold is not practically usable in jewellery because it’s a soft metal. It needs to be mixed with alloys to make it more durable and resistant to scratching and denting. All 12AM STUDIO earrings are made from 14kt gold so that it is strong enough to pierce with. All 12AM STUDIO necklaces and bracelets are made from 9kt gold. The chains are imported from Italy and completed by the best quality finishers in the trade that ensure quality is maintained over time. All of our pieces come in white, yellow and rose gold. We offer sterling silver as a metal option for necklaces and bracelets only.

Threaded Stud and Post length: 12AM STUDIO offers secure internally threaded jewellery in a 18 gauge (1mm) thickness. 12AM STUDIO threaded jewellery is perfect for earlobe and ear cartilage piercings. All of our threads and flat back posts are in 14kt yellow gold which is made out of hypoallergenic alloys making it safe to pierce with. All 12AM STUDIO threaded studs are only suitable for piercing with either an 8mm flat back post or 10mm medical grade bio-plast post. However, once your piercing has healed, we suggest downsizing to our 6.5mm or 5mm flat back posts to ensure the angle is maintained and your piercing has the perfect fit.

Clicker Rings: 12AM STUDIO clicker rings use a hinge mechanism and a clicker style closure to open and securely close. These pieces feature a clicker fastening in a 20 gauge (0.8mm) thickness. We offer this popular design in 14kt white, yellow and rose gold. We do not pierce with clicker rings as they are only suitable for healed piercings. Therefore, once your piercing has completely healed you may change it to a clicker ring.

Every timeless piece, precious keepsake can be just as bright and beautiful when you reminisce about it decades later, as it was on the day you bought it. Each piece you buy is an investment in your personal collection and just like you they look their best with mindful care. While diamonds, precious stones and metals are not easily damaged, a little TLC can keep them in good condition and prevent them from dulling over time, losing stones and being chipped or scratched.

Wear it with Care:

Try to make your jewellery the last part of any outfit you wear to minimize contact with perfumes, sprays or lotions. Even a thin layer of oil or dust build-up can dull your jewellery.

If you are wearing your jewellery at the gym, beach, pool or in the shower and during any sport (yoga included) or heavy physical work, you can either remove and safely store them to avoid dents, scratches and loosening diamonds from their setting, or be careful to avoid your piece from coming into contact with hard surfaces or harsh chemicals to prevent wear.

How to clean your jewellery:

While there are several specialised ways to clean your jewellery, a soft toothbrush, mild dish soap and warm water usually does the trick to keep them bright and sparkly sans the dirt and oil build-up.

Safely store your jewellery:

Avoid storing jewellery in extreme heat or cold, in damp places or in direct sunlight. The easiest way to protect it from dust and damage is to use the 12AM STUDIO packaging included with your parcel.

NECKLACE LENGTH POSITION OF THE BODY
14 – 15inch/ 37cm Commonly known as a choker, this length necklace will fall just above the collarbone at the base of the neck. This is a common and versatile length for a necklace, and outside of turtleneck tops, it can be worn with most any top. This length is also a popular choice for weddings and bridal parties.
15 – 16inch / 39cm This length works great for showcasing layering. It falls between the choker and the princess necklace and can be worn with almost any top.
16 – 17inch / 45cm One of the most common lengths of necklace and called the princess, it falls below the throat and over the collarbones. This length works nicely when worn with a crew top, plunging neckline, or high neckline. This necklace is the perfect length to showcase a pendant or locket.
20inch / 50cm 20inch lengths are referred to as matinee length. Necklaces of these lengths will fall in the middle of the chest and are appropriate for both casual and business wear. They create a natural vertical line for the eye and can be slimming.
28inch / 71cm Commonly known as opera length, these necklaces create flexibility in your personal style. Either wearing as a single long strand that creates an appealing and slimming vertical line or doubling the strand for a look that stays closer to the neckline, this length of necklace can be just as elegant for day or nightwear.

18inch / 45cm This length would be considered a choker on most men. Depending on the circumference of a man’s neck, this length necklace may fall an inch below a man’s Adam’s apple. For an adult man, this length may be too tight and uncomfortable.
20inch / 50cm The most common length of necklace for men, the 20 inch chain will likely fall between the first and second button on a man’s shirt or at the collarbone.
22inch / 55cm Another very common length for a man’s necklace, it can work nicely as a dog tag or if another pendant is added to the chain. Usually falling a few inches below the collarbone, this necklace is usually worn outside a shirt.

BRACELET LENGTHS FOR WOMEN AND MEN
In contrast to the many sizing options for rings and necklaces, there is far less variety in bracelet sizing. Most bracelets are made to fit most people. The ideal bracelet will fit snugly enough so it will not slip off the hand, but loose enough to allow for movement.
WOMEN For women’s bracelets, the standard sizes fall between 6.5 and 7.5 inches (16cm -17cm) in length, with 7(17cm) inches being the most common length.
MEN For men, standard sizes fall between 7.5 and 9 inches (19 – 22cm) with 8 inches (20cm) being the most common length.
Of course, when ordering online, it’s important to measure your own wrist to determine if the fit will be comfortable. This can be done by wrapping a flexible tape measure or a ribbon around the wrist at the wrist bone.

Once you’ve determined the appropriate measurement of your own wrist, add 1/2 – 1 inch to that number (depending on the desired fit) to determine your bracelet size.
